“Estoy honrada de integrarme al directorio de Fundación Oportunidad, lo que me permite aportar de una manera directa al mejoramiento de la calidad de la educación en nuestro país poniendo toda mi experiencia a disposición de la fundación, siendo a su vez un gran desafío unirme al trabajo de un equipo con alto nivel de compromiso.
Soy Periodista de la Universidad Católica de Chile; luego ingresé a la Universidad de Aquisgrán, Alemania, donde obtuve los grados de Master en Estudios Europeos y Doctora en Ciencia Política. Mi experiencia profesional ha sido en la academia como Directora Académica de la Escuela de Gobierno de la Universidad Adolfo Ibañez, para luego desempeñarme como Directora del Programa Político de Libertad & Desarrollo.
Desde el 2019 ingresé a la política activa, siendo Ministra de la Secretaría General de Gobierno durante el primer gobierno del Presidente Sebastián Piñera, para luego asumir como Senadora, en una primera instancia en la Circunscripción Metropolitana Oriente, y después en la región de Los Ríos.
Actualmente integro el directorio de Fundación Amparo & Justicia, Fundación Te Apoyamos y Fundación Oportunidad”.

I am a psychologist from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Master and PhD in Education from Columbia University. Researcher and consultant on early childhood development, early education and social policies for UNICEF, OECD, World Bank, CIAE, Microdatos, IPP and CPCE, among others. I am founder and researcher of the Early Childhood Studies Centre and advisor to the Education Quality Agency.

"When I was invited to participate in the board, I did not hesitate to accept, given my interest in collaborating with such a priority issue for the country as education. If children grow up with better tools to face the future, they are motivated to take a great leap towards better opportunities and thus achieve better development for themselves, their families and the country.
I have a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an MBA from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. I have been legal advisor and director of companies. I have worked as a prosecutor for Banco de Chile, as a prosecutor for Quiñenco and as a founding partner of the law firm Carvallo, Bizzarri & García Abogados".
