Ena von Baer Jahn |

"I am honored to join the board of Fundación Oportunidad, which allows me to contribute in a direct way to the improvement of the quality of education in our country, putting all my experience at the disposal of the foundation, being at the same time a great challenge to join the work of a team with a high level of commitment.
I am a Journalist from the Catholic University of Chile; then I entered the University of Aachen, Germany, where I obtained the degrees of Master in European Studies and Doctor in Political Science. My professional experience has been in academia as Academic Director of the School of Government at the Universidad Adolfo Ibañez, and then as Director of the Political Program of Libertad & Desarrollo.
Since 2019 I entered active politics, being Minister of the General Secretariat of Government during the first government of President Sebastián Piñera, and then became Senator, first in the East Metropolitan District, and then in the region of Los Ríos.
I am currently a member of the board of Fundación Amparo & Justicia, Fundación Te Apoyamos and Fundación Oportunidad".

Alejandra Cortázar Valdés:

"It is a privilege to be on the board of the Foundation. I have the opportunity to work with a very committed team of professionals, who set the highest goals, and who seek to contribute to improving the country's education through evidence-based work and innovation.

I am a psychologist from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Master and PhD in Education from Columbia University. Researcher and consultant on early childhood development, early education and social policies for UNICEF, OECD, World Bank, CIAE, Microdatos, IPP and CPCE, among others. I am founder and researcher of the Early Childhood Studies Centre and advisor to the Education Quality Agency.

Rodrigo Terré Fontbona:

"I deeply believe in the importance of education in the integral development of people, and that the effective investment in early childhood is undoubtedly the great tool to level the playing field, enabling each child to develop their potential to live happily and cognitively, thus becoming a full adult in the future. For me it is a great honor to participate in the board of the Foundation since its inception and contribute in this way to the future generations of our country, especially the most vulnerable.

I am a civil industrial engineer from the University of Chile, president of Inversiones Consolidadas, director of Canal 13, president of Transacciones e Inversiones Arizona, president of Inversiones Alabama and director of Fundación Amparo y Justicia.

Alessandro Bizzarri Carvallo:

"When I was invited to participate in the board, I did not hesitate to accept, given my interest in collaborating with such a priority issue for the country as education. If children grow up with better tools to face the future, they are motivated to take a great leap towards better opportunities and thus achieve better development for themselves, their families and the country.

I have a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an MBA from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. I have been legal advisor and director of companies. I have worked as a prosecutor for Banco de Chile, as a prosecutor for Quiñenco and as a founding partner of the law firm Carvallo, Bizzarri & García Abogados".

Verónica Cabezas Gazaga:

"I believe in a Chile with equal opportunities for all. To achieve this, we need to start from the earliest years, giving children the opportunity to access quality early education. The Foundation is an example to follow, empowering educators and management teams to transform lives.

"I am a professor and researcher at the Faculty of Education of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and deputy director of the CEPPE UC centre.

I am a civil industrial engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, a master's degree in education policy and a Ph.D. in economics of education from Columbia University.
